Research Study Reveal Women Love Sex As Much As Men The title statistic was determined by Dr. Paige Padgett at the University of Texas. Padgett’s 2007 study entitled “Personal Safety and Sexual Safety for Women Using Online Personal Ads” was published in a widely respected journal of the National Sexuality Research Center (Research & Social Policy Journal).

The research study focused on the dating habits of 740 women who had placed online dating profiles seeking men. The results were groundbreaking. Dr. Padgett discovered that 33% of the women had sex on the 1st date. And that 77% of those women who had sex didn’t use condoms.

Virtual Intimacy Theory The good Doctor Padgett didn’t merely conclude that these women were slutty. However, she did find that women who would otherwise be very careful did have unprotected sex because they were lulled into a false sense of virtual intimacy by men.

Dr. Padgett reasoned that the “virtual intimacy” was created by the disclosure and exchange of personal information through frequent e-mail and telephone calls. The women revealed information about their backgrounds, sexual preferences, and their likes and dislikes with the men they eventually slept with on their 1st date.

Dr. Padgett concludes it was the exchange of personal information that created “virtual intimacy”. The women created a pseudo-relationship (whether or not one really existed) which resulted in sexual intimacy more quickly than usual.

So What Does This Mean For Men? The essential message for guys: Begin Online Dating Today! It’s less expensive than going to bars and clubs and you will have more success and have sex on 1st dates more often. But definitely use protection.

My Interpretation of Padgett & Her Study: She is overly Paternalistic in her conclusions. She paints women as prey and men as predators who trick women into feeling secure and fool women with so-called “virtual intimacy”. BullShit!!

Using Common Sense and Logic to interpret Padgett’s study reveals that she is wrong in her conclusions. Women know what they want: An attractive male that meets their dating criteria. They choose one or several from the many that email them. Then they question these candidates and weed out those who don’t meet their dating criteria. For that successful candidate who doesn’t disqualify himself: It’s naked time!

If you shine a light on what’s really happening, you’ll discover that the women are the ones speeding up the sexual relationship. How? Simple. The women in Padgett’s study (and all online women daters) try to learn as much as possible about their potential sex partners as quickly as possible, whether by telephone or e-mail before meeting face-to-face.

Why? To allow themselves to engage in sexual congress as soon as possible. Once a woman convinces herself that a man meets her criteria she will sleep with him. And in every case in Padgett’s study, the women had already decided through email and telephone conversations that the particular man in question met her criteria or at least enough of the criteria to warrant sex!

Putting Padgett’s Study To Work For You. The bottom line here is: women want sex just as much as you do. But, and this is the most important factor I’ve gleaned from Padgett’s study and from my own online dating experiences: Women want to convince themselves that you are a Quality Guy and that you meet their criteria.

Not understanding this fact leads many guys to shoot themselves in the foot. They wrongly believe that they need power, fame, or money to have success with women. My secret that is supported by Padgett’s work: To be successful in online dating requires only that do not disqualify yourself. Women have dating qualifications yes. Women have all sorts of questions, yes.

But, women only need you to answer their inquiries and present yourself in very straightforward manner in order that they can say to themselves, “Hey this guy is normal, he’s available, and he’s mine.” They must be able to give themselves permission to have sex.
